Rave music may either refer to the late 1980s/early 1990s genres of breakbeat, acid, techno and hardcore techno, which were the first genres of music to be played at rave parties, or to any other genre of electronic dance music (EDM) that may be played at a rave.
The genre "rave", also known as hardcore by early ravers, first appeared amongst the UK "acid" movement during the late 1980s at warehouse parties and other underground venues, as well as on UK pirate radio stations.

The genre would develop into oldschool hardcore, which lead onto newer forms of rave music such as drum and bass and 2-step, as well as other hardcore techno genres, such as gabber, hardstyle and happy hardcore. Rave music is usually presented in a DJ mix set, although live performances are not uncommon.

Christof was raised in a classical musician family, though he never had training in music or electronic. First, he got involved in various new wave bands where he was the singer and the programmer. One day, he discovered the Techno music sound, and that changed his musical orientation. Also raised in a family of musicians, Frederic Holyszewski began his musical studies at the age of five, learning Transverse flute and piano. During his teenage years, he found inspiration in the electronic music of the day, including Jean Michel Jarre, Depeche Mode, Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Simple Minds. He bought his first synthesizer funded by working at night in bars as a pianist. After the split of his first rock band Vision Quest, in 1990, he started to work on his own with the help of computers.

Christof and Frederic met at a French Rave party and subsequently formed the psychedelic trance act Transwave in September 1994. Three months later, the first Transwave release (Datura EP) was launched on the small French label, Transpact. Over the following two years, Transwave released three albums (Hypnorhythm, 1995, Helium, 1996, Phototropic, 1996) and toured around the world, experiencing great success in the psychedelic trance underground and scoring an international trance hit with their track, "Land of Freedom." The group split after the D-mention party in Paris in May 1997. Christof and Frederic also released an EP called "Anjuna" under the name Kaledoid in 1996.

CD 2.

1. HALLUCINOGEN

Simon Posford (born 28 October 1971), better known by his stage name Hallucinogen is an English electronic musician, specializing in psychedelic trance music. His first studio album, Twisted, released in 1995, is considered one of the most influential albums in the genre. He has toured India several times.
His second album, The Lone Deranger, was released in 1997 A third album, In Dub, was released in 2002.
He is also the founder of the label Twisted Records and works in the electronic duos Younger Brother and Shpongle. Younger Brother initially began as a side project of Posford and Benji Vaughan and represented a transition away from previous projects which emphasized a more synthesized style.

3. JUNOR REACTOR

Juno Reactor is a musical and performing group known for their cinematic fusion of electronic, global
influences, and orchestral symphonic approach, collaborating with composer Don Davis and composing for the musical score of The Matrix. This ensemble has included Mabi Thobejane, Amampondo, Steve Stevens, Eduardo Niebla, Greg Ellis, Taz Alexander, Sugizo, Budgie (drummer) and recently Hamsika Iyer and Maggie Hikri.

4. THE INFINITY PROJECT

5. BASSLINE BABY

6. PRANA

7. SECTION X

8. COSMOSIS

UK Psychedelic / Goa Trance act. When Jeremy Van Kampen left in 1997 to concentrate on the Laughing
Buddha project, Cosmosis became Bill Halsey's solo project - he credits himself as 'Bilbo Bagginz' on some of his releases. Cosmosis started as two men group, and that's the period when they were producing pure Goa Trance. Cosmology (1996) is definitely one of the best albums released around that time, but when you compare this release with everything that came after Jeremy Van Kampen left the group, it's obvious that project took another direction after that.

9. BORGIA

10. SPEEDY J

Jochem George Paap (born 14/02/1969 in Rotterdam), known by his stage name Speedy J, is a Dutch electronic music producer based in the city of Rotterdam. His breakthrough came with the release in 1992 of the minimal techno track Pullover. Subsequently his material became more mellow as he moved away from the hardcore sounds that were then becoming popular in Belgium and the Netherlands.
